Tess Talks Social Media for Communicators

Tess Staadecker presented a short wrap up at our April meeting from the Social Media for Communicators Conference she recently attended in Las Vegas.

She opened with a quote from Charles Darwin:
It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is the most adaptable to change.

She then talked about the Motrin Moms controversy, where an ad campaign that Motrin intended to be tongue in cheek, turned out to be received as insulting, and a Twitter storm ensued. Motrin quickly pulled all the ads and apologized to the moms community. You can watch the YouTube video here.
