Non Profits: We want to help you!

The backbone of the Social Media Club is to share ideas on how to best utilize online strategies to maximize exposure for our businesses. The more we share, the more we all grow. As the Internet is ever-evolving at a pace that is hard to keep up with, it is integral that we each play a role in contributing our knowledge, resources, and best practices, so we can expand our wisdom together.

Each month, we will discuss a new social media tool, tactic or strategy and how it can be incorporated into any business model. We’ve found, the best way to learn about social media is through real life examples.

As such, the Social Media Club is launching a contest to provide a local non-profit six months’ worth of pro bono services, where we will showcase the social media tool of the month, giving the non-profit the online exposure.

From setting up Google Alerts to help manage online identities, to utilizing social networking sites, such as Facebook and Twitter, the Social Media Club is looking for a non-profit, who could *ahem* profit from this partnership.

Our contest is now closed. Mahalo for your interest!

The non-profit partner will be announced at our next meeting on Friday, May 8. Should you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment and we’ll get back to you.

Aloha! ~SMCHI

  1. A quick update! We now have 11 entries and have expanded this portion of our next meeting. We are very excited by all of the response, and are determined to offer support to all of you, regardless of who wins. Please consider our meetings your “home away from home” and a place to learn and network. One of the main benefits of the social web is building a community of people who know and love you – and who will then help you get the word out for you.
