We’ve made a late change in our agenda! Our March meeting will address the recent tsunami in Hawaii. While the experience is still fresh with us all, we want to hear from the experts and from you! Think of this as real life intelligence gathering, so we can go back to our organizations with better laid plans for future events. It is always easier when we have a real example rather than trying to manufacture a viable plan from “what if’s.”
We would like to create a white paper out of this meeting to share with the Hawaii business and nonprofit community, so your insights and feedback are important to makeing this the best it can be! Read the Pacific Business News report indicating local government leaders missed the boat posting updates to their web communities. (I’d venture to say so did PBN. Their Twitter feed is a one-way bot that only puts out links to their published articles. Not really getting it.)

100% agreed – word to word! To me Social Media is the most hyped around buzz word of current times. We all know it; We all understand it; And we all are, well at times, upset about it. I have tried to use simple techniques like “Learn about Time Management”, “Define your goals properly”, “Prioritize your activities”, etc. to make sure I don’t get addicted and glued to my facebook account all the time.
